The Child Center of Pennsylvania is excited to present Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg because the recipient of the 2023 community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is offered annually to an individual who has demonstrated distinctive dedication to improving the lives of kids in our group.
Brian Houchins, a dedicated elementary faculty teacher and neighborhood volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children's training and welfare. Over the past ten years, his efforts have significantly impacted the lives of countless youngsters in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins' initiatives include establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged college students, weekend workshops focusing on literacy and numeracy abilities for at-risk youth, and leading a successful community-driven campaign to improve local playgrounds, ensuring protected and inclusive play areas for all kids.
The award ceremony shall be held on January 15,at the beginning of JanuaryThe Mechanicsburg Community Center will host an award ceremony on 15th of January 2024. The occasion will function speeches from native dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins' contributions, and the award presentation.
