Child Center of Pennsylvania Honors  Brian Houchins  with Community Recognition Award

Mechanicsburg, PA – December 21, 2023

The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce  Brian Houchins  of Mechanicsburg because the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is offered annually to a person who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to improving the lives of kids in our neighborhood.

Brian Houchins, a devoted elementary college trainer and community volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children’s training and welfare. Over the past ten years, his efforts have significantly impacted the lives of countless children in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins’ initiatives embody establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged students, weekend workshops specializing in literacy and numeracy expertise for at-risk youth, and main a profitable community-driven campaign to improve native playgrounds, guaranteeing secure and inclusive play areas for all kids.

The award ceremony will be held on January 15, 2024, at the Mechanicsburg Community Center. The event will function speeches from local dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins’ contributions, and the award presentation.
